WEMBLEY EVENT RAISES £1.5m
The Together for Palestine event at Wembley in September raised £1.5m for Palestinian causes. Among the 69 stars and artists to speak or perform at the four-hour event before an audience of 12,500 were (clockwise from top left): Riz Ahmed; Florence Pugh; Brian Eno; Greentea Peng; Richard Gere; and Eric Cantona.
‘When dozens of non-partisan organisations like Amnesty International and Doctors Without Borders describe it as genocide, the moral line is clear,’ said Brian Eno. ‘We can’t remain silent.’ Which is why he helped to organise Together for Palestine – a night of music, reflection and hope at the OVO Arena.
