School still going in Khan Younis

Brave students and teachers in Gaza are keeping their schools going despite the failure of Trump’s supposed ceasefire.
Children wrap up against the cold at the Wahaj school in Khan Younis, just 200 metres from the notorious ‘Yellow Line’ that designates the border between the areas controlled by Hamas or Israel.
Forbidding anyone to cross the line, knowingly or not, the Israeli military shoots dead people on the spot, and a number have been killed in recent months, including children.
There are 650 pupils in the school, aged 5 to 14, and 20 volunteer teachers in 18 classrooms working in two daily shifts.
Despite continued Israeli shelling, bomb blasts and airstrikes, they endure constant fear and danger, yet persist in their belief that education remains a weapon of hope in the face of devastation.
